Deaf Lottery is the fundraising program of Deaf Connect, Australia’s largest whole-of-life service provider for Deaf, hard of hearing and deafblind Australians.
We stand with the Deaf community, building capacity and influencing social change. Deaf Connect is a registered service provider under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), a nationally recognised provider of home care for seniors and delivers accredited training in Auslan (RTO#41192).
Your support allows us to continue to grow, innovate and deliver a greater range of services and programs where they are needed most.
Every Deaf Lottery ticket sold enables Deaf Connect to work with all Australians to create a more inclusive, accessible and equitable community through information, advocacy and education.

How your support helps
For over 30 years, Deaf Lottery supporters have played a vital role in empowering Deaf Connect to deliver life-changing programs to Deaf Australians.
The focus of funds raised by the Deaf Lottery is to seek out opportunities within our services – investing in new programs and projects, and expanding our reach to ensure that no part of the Deaf Community is left behind.
Through the generosity of our Deaf Connect supporters and VIPs, we have been able to expand to become a national provider with staff across the country dedicated to delivering services – including sign language interpreting and Auslan classes.
We work alongside the community, with a focus on empowerment to provide a greater impact and positive outcomes for all Deaf Australians along with the allies and families who support them.
Delivering Auslan Anywhere
Auslan (Australian Sign Language) is the primary language of the Deaf community. Without access to Auslan, many can face isolation and disconnection.
Your support helps Deaf Connect deliver a range of courses from community classes, to accredited training and courses for Deaf and Hard of hearing people. Through the proliferation of Auslan we hope to create a more connected and Deaf aware Australia.
Whole of Life Support
When you support the Deaf Lottery, you’re also supporting Deaf Australians across all stages of life, from newborns to seniors.
This support begins with our services for children - providing family-led early intervention for families with deaf children, offering language and therapy support.
Deaf Connect is the only Australian provider of Home Care Packages for seniors with services delivered in Auslan. Our services allow Deaf seniors to remain in their homes for as long as possible, and to live happy, meaningful and independent lives.
Access is Auslan
Deaf Connect is the largest Auslan interpreting agency in Australia – ensuring certified interpreters are available whenever access is needed. From parent teacher interviews to press conferences, the birthing suite to a job interview – Deaf Connect interpreters provide accurate and nuanced Auslan interpreting to suit the needs of our community.
Connecting Deaf Australians to their dreams
Deaf Connect awards regular Deaf Lottery grants and sponsorships to support Deaf, Deafblind, and hard of hearing Australians and organisations that benefit the community.
Your support of the Deaf Lottery funds life-changing initiatives and ideas for the Deaf Community through Grants & Sponsorships. Some of the core projects funded by lottery proceeds have included: a Mental Health Conference for the Deaf Community, a Deaf Art Exhibition at Bengalla Art Gallery, Deaf Festival Sydney and many more.
