Today Ben* received the call of a lifetime.

As the major prize winner of Lottery 176, he won our $700,000 1st Prize, plus an additional $5,000 Book Buyers Prize.

Ben is a loyal VIP Club supporter and has been since 2015, but he still wanted to call us back  to make sure it wasn’t a prank.

“You must receive some very shocked reactions when you make this call.”

As we were congratulating him on his win, he stopped us so he could thank everyone in the room for the amazing work they do for the Deaf community.

He then continued to tell us why he started supporting us four years ago.

“With all the charity lotteries out there, The Deaf Lottery Australia stood out to me, not just because I have lived experience with disability, but because I have Deaf friends.”

We didn’t have a chance to discuss which prize package Ben will choose, he was too busy organising the donation he will be making.

Ben is going to let the news sink in and in the meantime crack open a bottle of champagne to celebrate.
