Our Lottery 165 Winner

It was such a treat when Don and Karen*, our lovely Lottery 165 1st Prize Winners, popped into The Deaf Lottery Australia office to sign their official paperwork and to confirm their Prize choice.

Originally from New Zealand, the happy couple purchased their winning ticket as a spur of the moment decision while holidaying on the Gold Coast, a choice Don described as “the best investment we’ve ever made!”.

The lucky couple won $600,000 plus, as a $50 Book Buyer, also received an additional $35,000 in Gold Bullion, taking their total winnings to an unbelievable $635,000!

Don and Karen settled on the Mortgage Buster 1st Prize Option which offered them the maximum amount of Gold Bullion. Karen says they plan to spend some of their winnings on a brand new motorhome and taking it for a well-deserved holiday touring around Australia.

“We’ve got plenty of children and grandchildren to visit as well,” Don jokes. “We’ll be doing a lot of spoiling throughout our trip!”
