This year, your support has helped see the launch of the Deaf History Collections Website, Australia's first historical website to document Deaf history all the way back to the 18th century. This online archive ensures that Australian Deaf History is accessible to everyone, and contains more than a century of historical photos, records and artifacts from families, businesses and community groups.

Deaf Connect proudly collaborated with key Deaf organisations and groups to bring the community together to celebrate the launch of this page. More than 100 community members joined us at the University of Sydney for the unveiling of the rich repository. The Deaf community has an extensive and complex history, which is now safeguarded for generations to come.
